I didn't think I could ever be distracted from writing for so long..but I now know that you can be so busy that you almost forget the internet exists!!
I remember getting off the plane at the beginning of May and then time started running..While Ian was busy packing, packing, packing, I was busy trying to find a place for him to unpack :) It seemed to be quite hard work to find the perfect place as we imagined it...we first had to say a definite good bye to the castle..and then the farm house went away too, taking the huge oak table away with it..but I eventually found a flat near the river and now that i'm writing to you from our temporary tiny Parisian flat, I can fully appreciate the loveliness of it!
And after a week of painting, cleaning, Ikea(E-kea in French :)) visiting, stairs climbing (literally) and camping...we had to leave everything to dress up for my sister's wedding, eat, drink, party, then get on the train to Paris (just the time to recover) and start working again ( as if i ever stopped!!!)
I'm sure you'll be updated very soon with some new ramblings on our French way of life :)
Remind me to blog about Parisian women (in case Ian doesn't...) !
A tres vite!
bisous fous :)

you can have french food whenever you want indeed! and now that means that you have to post about EVERYTHING you eat in this blog.
what did u have for dinner last night?????????
hehe... that maybe fair enough...
though last night we went chinese at a local restaurant and brought it home .. france footie game on , nuff said!!!!!!
but, we had starters pack and small meat plate pack:
5/6 starter selection , nem + vapeurs which are generally dumplings the former deep fried and the latter steamed with various chopped meat , veg and/or prawn fillings , the vapeurs being v cute semi translucent croissant affairs ( how apt!!)accompanied with cantonese style rice , light with a deft touch of diced veg. then we chose a chicken and basil dish with noodles + sprouts , gently savoury and a touch of piquancy, and included was a wee dessert a small small tub of chinese nougat , a light square of sugary-ness with a protection of sesame seeds for that sweet /savoury finish... et voila xxx
